Oncology Analytics Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer
Board-certified Radiation Oncologist to Spearhead Cancer Benefit Management Initiatives
This past June, Richard Wilder, MD, MBA, joined Oncology Analytics as its Chief Medical Officer. Recently, Dr. Wilder served for 2 ½ years as interim chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. He has served additionally for 5 years for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) as a Kidney and Testicular Cancer Panel Member writing national evidence-based treatment guidelines. He has also served nationally as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Radiology since 2002. Dr. Wilder is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as well as Johns Hopkins University where he received his MBA. His radiation oncology training was at the University of Arizona, and Stanford University Medical Center where he completed an American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) research fellowship. He has worked additionally in the capacity of academic faculty for UCSF and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Oncology Analytics’ CEO, Marc Fishman, MD, stated, “Dr. Wilder’s deep knowledge and experience will be of great value as OA develops leading-edge oncology products that benefit both patients and health plans.”
In the capacity of Oncology Analytics Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Wilder leads a clinical team of oncology specialists, including medical oncologists, PharmDs and Registered Nurses. His responsibilities include developing several new programs for OA including radiation oncology, prostate health, and compassionate (palliative and hospice) care. “I look forward to contributing to Oncology Analytics to offer new programs that drive quality improvements in cancer care in the U.S.,” said Dr. Wilder, “I believe there remains plenty of opportunity to transition from fee-for-service to evidence-based and value-based care in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
